Jason W. Moore lehrt als Umwelthistoriker am Department of Sociology an der Binghamton University im US-Bundesstaat New York. Sein Interesse gilt insbesondere dem Zusammenhang von Umweltgeschichte und Kapitalismus. Moore fungiert als Vorsitzender von Political Ecomomy of the World-System Section (ASA) und koordiniert das World-Ecology Research Network. Zu seinen Büchern zählen Anthropocene or Capitalocene?
